How to Outsource Your Blog Tasks to a Fiverr Expert

Quick Navigation

Failure.

That’s how I would describe my very first Fiverr experience.

The very first time I used Fiverr, I searched for “logo design,” browsed the search results, chose two “gigs,” placed my orders and crossed my fingers.

The results were, shall we say, less than stellar.

Luckily, I didn’t give up on Fiverr after that first try.

Since then, I’ve successfully outsourced numerous blogging tasks on Fiverr with great results!

That means that if you make a purchase using one of the links in this article, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Would you like to learn about how you can make money blogging with affiliate marketing?

A virtual assistant on steroids

Fiverr’s tagline is “Freelance Services Marketplace for the Lean Entrepreneur.”

Lean entrepreneur… Does that sound like any bloggers you know? Does that sound like you?

As a blogger or a online entrepreneur, you are responsible for EVERYTHING. Content creation, design, website development, marketing, sales – the list goes on and on.

Outsourcing tasks on Fiverr is kind of like having a virtual assistant on steroids. Not that I recommend steroids to anyone. ๐Ÿ˜›

Believe it or not, there are a lot of talented individuals freelancing on Fiverr. You just have to know what services to outsource and how to go about it.

What blogging tasks can you outsource on Fiverr?

You might be surprised by all the blogging tasks that you can outsource on Fiverr.

There are several things to take into consideration when deciding whether to outsource blogging tasks.

  • Do you enjoy doing it? If not, consider outsourcing it.
  • Time vs. money. If you could be spending your time doing something with a better ROI (return on investment), consider outsourcing it.
  • Do you have the skills? If not, consider outsourcing it.

Here’s a list of 15 blogging tasks you can outsource on Fiverr!

  1. Create Custom Infographics *
  2. Create Content Upgrades *
  3. Design Social Media Graphics
  4. User Test Your Website or Blog *
  5. Write Blog Posts/Articles *

* Note: These are tasks I have personally outsourced to an expert on Fiverr with awesome results.

Get started in 4 easy steps

1. Sign up. Registration is free, but only registered users can buy and sell onย Fiverr.

2. Find the services you need by browsing the catalog or using the search to find a specific service or seller.

3. Once you’ve found a gig that appears to meet your needs, click to review description, price, delivery time and other details.

4. Place your order.

It’s really that simple.

How to find the “best of the best” on Fiverr?

If you’re ordering a standard gig, there are a couple of things to pay attention to.

The Seller’s Level

New Seller – just like it sounds. The seller is new on Fiverr.

Level 1 — 30 days active on Fiverr, has completed at least 10 individual orders, maintains a 4 star rating and above, and has a low cancellation rate.

Level 2 — Completed at least 50 individual orders in two consecutive months, maintains a 4.5 stars rating or above and has a low cancellation rate.

Top Rated Seller — Maintains a high star rating (4.7 – 5), exceptional customer care, has a low cancellation rate, community leadership and a high volume of sales. Manually selected by the Fiverr Editorial team based on a number of criteria.

The Seller’s Reviews

Be sure to check out the seller’s reviews.

If you see “Outstanding Experience!” be aware that that is the default text proposed by Fiverr when leaving a 5 star rating.

Other than that, I always look for and read any exceptionally positive reviews, where the buyer took the time to write something instead of just accepting the default text and for any not so positive reviews.

Pro Tip for Finding the Right Fiverr Expert for Your Job

Want to hand pick the best person for the job? Instead of choosing a standard gig, do this.

  • Post a request to the Fiverr seller community.
  • Review offers from interested sellers.
  • Discuss your project with interested sellers to see if they have a complete understanding of your need.
  • Ask sellers to submit a sample of their work if applicable.
  • Choose the seller that is right for you!

All of the examples below are from my own personal experience hiring Fiverr freelancers to help me with blogging related tasks.

DO SEO Keyword and Backlink Research using Ahrefs

I recently took an SEO course called Stupid Simple SEO and in order to complete the keyword research, I signed up for a free trial of ahrefs. Ahrefs is an incredibly useful tool when you know how to do keyword research properly, but it’s also very expensive.

If you can’t justify the monthly subscription and you know what to ask for, there are sellers on Fiverr that will do keyword research for you using ahrefs. Just be sure you know what to ask for (e.g. if you want the data filtered a certain way before it is exported).

I will caution you, however, that before I took the Stupid Simple SEO course, I once ordered keyword research on Fiverr and had no idea what to do with the information that I received from the seller.

Seller: aaqibalikhan
Gig: I Will Provide You Ahref Backlink Sheet For As Many Sites You Want
Basic Gig Price: $5

Proofread Your Blog Posts

If you don’t have time to proofread or you’re not very good at grammar and so forth, there are excellent proofreaders on Fiverr. And even if you think you’ve got everything right, a second set of eyes is always a good idea.

Typos and grammatical mistakes are distracting and can even look unprofessional. If proofreading your own posts isn’t something you have time to do, hiring a professional is a great idea.

Audit Your Blog Posts in WordPress

I recently changed my WordPress theme and if you’ve ever done that, you know what a massive undertaking that can be.

I hired someone on Fiverr to help me audit my blog posts for things that need to be updated like formatting, shortcodes, image sizes, broken links and more.ย He also helped find SEO issues like section headers that were bolded, but not correctly tagged as H2 or H3 headers.

If you’ve been blogging for any length of time and haven’t gone back through your old posts, a blog post audit is probably due, even if you haven’t changed your theme.

Seller: bestsolutionsa1
Gig: I Will Do Professional Proofreading And Editing Of Any Document
Basic Gig Price: $20

Note: I believe this seller quoted me a custom price because the work was different from the standard gig. Pro tip: don’t be afraid to negotiate!

Create Content Upgrades for Your Blog Posts

You probably know that content upgrades are a great way to grow your email list. If you’re like me, though, you barely have enough time to crank out your blog posts. Believe it or not, you can hire an expert on Fiverr to create content upgrades for you. Content upgrades that perfectly compliment your blog posts.

I published a blog post… 23 Pinterest Tips for Bloggers and Online Business and I hired kreativopro, a freelancer on Fiverr, to create a related content upgrade. It was a list of 125 Pinterest boards to grow your Pinterest followers.

Seller: kreativopro
Gig: I Will Manually Write High Quality SEO Article Or Blog Post
Starting Price: $10

Note: I outsourced the research and writing for this content upgrade to kreativopro, but I designed the printable in Canva. ๐Ÿ™‚

Create a Favicon of Your Logo

Have a beautiful logo, but need a favicon for your website? This is a one time task that you just don’t need to learn how to do. Outsource this task on Fiverr and get a custom favicon to match you logo for just $5.00!

Seller: nancych
Gig: I Will Create A Favicon Of Your Logo
Starting Price: $5

Design Professional & Attractive Printables

One of the things that I struggled with was making my content upgrades “pretty.”

I had content that I knew my audience would find valuable, but I have no graphic design skills. I didn’t have the skills to format my content using Indesign or Illustrator or… Honestly, I didn’t even know what program to use to make my content upgrade visually appealing.

So, I turned to Fiverr.

Seller: denko10
Gig: I Will Do Graphic Design or Technical Work
Starting Price: $15

Note: I placed a custom order for $15. I received 2 designs (7 pages each), each with editable files that could also be used as templates.

Test Your Website from a User’s Perspective

For just $5, you can get a 5 minute usability test from a user’s perspective for your blog or website. Paul (user name Peco) is a UX expert with over 8 years in UX and usability design. He will record a video/screencast where you can see him navigate your website and hear his voice as he provides feedback, both positive and negative. He promises to brutally honest! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paul will test your website/blog from a user’s point of view and analyze web design, layout, calls to action, overall quality of content, color scheme, conversion optimization, typography and more.

Seller: Peco
Gig: I Will Review Your Website And Suggest Improvements In 24 Hours
Basic Gig Price: $5

Design Professional Infographics

Infographics are great marketing tools and they also allow people to process information visually. Furthermore, they are highly shareable. Consider including an infographic in your blog post or even as a hidden, shareable image. There are tools on the market that allow you to create your own infographics using templates, but for just $5, an expert on Fiverr will create one for you!

Infographics are also great for Pinterest, which is a highly visual platform. For best results, be sure to include a CTA (call to action) on the infographic to encourage pinners to read the full article or to download a content upgrade.

Seller: siconsultants
Gig: I Will Create A Professional Unique Infographic
Basic Gig Price: $5

Get Started Outsourcing Your Blog Tasks on Fiverr Today

Not quite ready to hire an employee or even a virtual assistant? Fiverr is a great resource that allows you to hire freelancers to grow your blog or business without making a huge commitment.

If youโ€™re blogging as a business or to market your business, you already know that time is truly a limited resource. There are so many things to do and only so many hours in the day. In fact, time is the one resource that none of us can get more of.

If you’ve ever read the book Now, Discover Your Strengths you may be familiar with the premise, which is to capitalize on your strengths and not waste time trying to improve your weaknesses. (If you haven’t read it (and taken the quiz), I highly recommend it.) Hiring experts to do tasks that you are not passionate about or good at is not a failure, it’s a smart strategy.

If you haven’t already, try outsourcing a blog task on Fiverr today!

If you have, leave me a comment and let me know what blog tasks you’ve outsourced and what kind of results you got. I’d love to hear about your experience.

  1. You got some awesome results on Fiverr. I will be trying out some of the gigs you ordered. I’ve ordered off Fiverr about 10 times and am usually disappointed, and this is with ordering from high-rated sellers. You’ve restored my faith haha

  2. This is such a comprehensive list of options. Really appreciate the examples of work you can hire out. I have heard a lot about Fiverr, but haven’t taken the plunge yet. Thanks! (price of infographic is especially amazing!).

    1. Thanks, Carly. He has done several for me and I’ve either just given him the link to my blog post or the specific headings and text that I wanted him to use. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Awesome Post! I have wanted to outsource some of my printables because I am awful with graphic design, but have been nervous doing so. Thank you so much for including the person you used and great tips on finding more great designers. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I’m so glad it was helpful! And I’m happy to be able to recommend the talented individuals on Fiverr that have done such great work for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Chantel,

    *shocked face*

I’m honestly shocked as to how INEXPENSIVE using Fiverr is! Like why did no one tell me this before? (Maybe someone did but clearly I wasn’t paying (pun totally intended) attention.

Like why am I not outsourcing? It’s actually so ridiculously cheap that I wouldn’t even pay myself that amount to do some of the stuff I do for by blog. And that’s not even mentioning the amount of time it would take me to learn how to make an infographic for example.

I was thinking about how I can lighten by blogging load just yesterday and I finally conceded that I do not have to personally take every single photo that I post on Instagram. It was a hard one for me, as I am a photographer and I am more than capable but who has the time to be shooting styled stock photos?

And I think that’s my issue, I just can’t let go of control and I, for the most part, LOVE designing beautiful printables.

Still in shock as to just how affordable this is.

  5. These are great suggestions. I have used Fiverr for logo design and for article writing, but i haven’t tried any of the others. I am particularly interested in the UX testing.

  6. We also use Fiverr sometimes for our graphic design and writing needs. Though we have chosen a still no-review seller, we liked her samples. So we gave it a try, and it was fantastic. Thanks for sharing these tips!

  7. Thank you for such a thoroughly written post! I’ve also used Fiverr for logo designs in the past, and wow…I totally understand what you mean about the result being less than stellar, haha!

Including the recommended seller info in your post is super helpful. I’m definitely bookmarking this for future reference!

    1. Krista – thank you for the nice feedback. Glad to hear that it’s a post that you will come back to for future reference. If you use any of the sellers that I recommended, tell them I said “hi!”.

  8. This is great information, Chantel! Thanks so much! I’m always short on time, but time spent reading your posts is always well-spent! I’ve learned a lot.
